The Hargassner HSV boiler series begins at 25kW output, and is ideal for heating a large farmhouse, diary shed, backpacker hostel or a similar heavy residential or small commercial application. The HSV boiler comes complete with fully automatic ignition, automatic heat exchanger cleaning systems and ash extraction, giving them an operational convenience which is comparable to a gas or oil boiler.
At the heart of the HSV range is a refractory lined combustion chamber, providing safe and efficient combustion of wood chips with a moisture content of up to 30%. Into the chamber, measured quantities of primary and secondary combustion air are injected to ensure complete combustion of the fuel and deliver exceptional levels of efficiency - up to 93% - that's higher than modern condensing gas boilers. Further combustion control is delivered by the Lambda oxygen-sensor which automatically regulates the fuel feed rate to compensate for variations in fuel calorific value.
The HSV 25-55 comes in six different sizes :
- HSV 25 with an output range of 7-25kW;
- HSV 31 with an output range of 8-31kW;
- HSV 35 with an output range of 10-35kW;
- HSV 45 with an output range of 12-45kW;
- HSV 49 with an output range of 15-49kW;
- HSV 55 with an output range of 15-55kW.
and is paired with Hargassner's robust rotary agitator for automatic fuel recovery and feed. Powered by the recovery auger motor, which operates via an eccentric gearbox mounted underneath the agitator, the agitator is capable of recovering fuel from stores up up to 125 cubic metres in volume.
Hargassner's pick 'n' mix approach to fuel recovery and transfer systems means that fuel stores can be above or below ground, or even on the floor above the boiler if space is at a premium! Their innovative vertical chip delivery system works via a heavy-duty trough and auger, and can convey chip up to 20m horizontally and 8m vertically, before distributing it evenly across the fuel store via the innovative ejector head.
