We first came across the Exotek FMG-3000 moisture meter on a visit to the Gnas District Heating Scheme in Austria, home to two Binder wood-fired boilers which were tasked to heating the town of Gnas via a system of underground pipes. The site manager received regular fuel deliveries from local farmers, foresters and sawmillers, and was using the Exotec meter to determine the moisture content of the received fuel.
